Comments on: New Yamaha AVENTAGE Receivers

I recently purchased the RX-A700, since i have a set of Acoustimass 10 speakers i connected them and adjusted them using the microphone provided with the reciever, and so far it sound really good. I have several questions, 1) Would it be possible to connect (to the reciever obvously)the extra speakers for the full 7.2 experience? 2)Since the am 10 module is not really a Subwoofer (it only manages the mid bass the cubes cant process)could i purchase a separate subwoofer and connect it to the reciever? What speaker would you recomend!! Thanks fro your time!!!

Yes, you can connect any HDMI device to the Aventage receivers. New HDMI versions are compatible with all earlier versions. Since v1.4 is the latest for consumers, all earlier versions will work.

I would like to know if it is possible to connect HDMI 1.3a devices with the new Yamaha AVENTAGE RX-A2000 or 3000 receivers, because these models have 1.4 HDMI connections. I have 1.3a HDMI version cables. I am very much interested in the 2 new models, so I want to know if they are compatible.
