These were an addition to my home sound system. Although given an average rating by Consumer Reports, I had heard these specific speakers in a demo room and knew the range of sound produced. WOW! For the money, they are incredible! I would recommend these to anyone that truely enjoys quality sound from their home sound system.

I hooked this up to my Yamaha HTR-5960 and it really brought these babies to life. They create a soundstage that goes well beyond the walls of my room. The sound doesn't seem to just come from the speakers but from the entire wall. Despite this they still make sound easy to localize when watching DVDs in surround sound. I currently have these as my main speakers, Bose 161s as the surrounds, and a Bose center channel speaker. I love these things so much that I just ordered another pair to use as my rear speakers for 7.1 surround!

Works great, very nice add on to my current system. Using them as the back channel for a total of 4 speakers. Have the original Bose 901's for front on a 110watt/channel receiver/amp. They sound great and the low-mid-high frequency's come in loud and crystal clear, so much to the point I can hear a faint static on a radio station that I though I got 100% where I live. When I add two more speakers to go 6.1 I will get another pair of these.
