Bose® Lifestyle® VS-2 Video Enhancer Details

• One-button simplicity – delivers easy access to audio and video from each of your video sources, such as VCR, PVR, cable/satellite box or other video device.
• Works with a vast majority of TVs, including the latest models that have HDMI.
• Automatically upscales any video source over HDMI to the highest resolution your TV can accept – even 1080p.
• Easy installation. All your video devices connect to your VS-2 and a single cable connects VS-2 to your TV. There’s no need to figure out which device to connect to which input on the TV.
• A minimum of clutter. The VS-2 uses power from the Lifestyle® system’s power supply and passes power through to the media center, so it doesn’t need an additional power supply. Can be easily hidden behind TV.
• Integrated system design – works seamlessly with all Lifestyle® DVD home entertainment systems except for Lifestyle® 18, 28 and 35 Series I systems.
• Upscales all content to the highest resolution a TV can accept, even 1080p.
• Automatically delays audio to compensate for video delay induced by the Lifestyle® VS-2 video enhancer and allows user to further adjust audio delay to compensate for other sources of delay.
• Allows the customer to stretch, zoom or compress the image to best suit their tastes and equipment.
• Three inputs for video sources (AUX, VCR and cable/satellite), two with HDMI, plus Lifestyle® DVD input.
• Audio/visual synchronization. The Lifestyle® VS-2 video enhancer syncs up video and the associated audio to make sure that lips move when people are speaking.
• Image shape control. The Lifestyle® VS-2 video enhancer allows you to change image shape to best suit your tastes and equipment –even for HDMI sources.
• Remembers your selected shape setting for each input source, so you don’t need to make adjustments when changing sources.
• Supports NTSC and PAL video formats; automatically outputs the correct format.
• Please note: HDMI out only transmits video, a separate audio connection is required!

Product Review: Everything worked great. There is no upconversion. It only upscales the video, so the quality does not improve much. Also the sources connected through regular A/V cable get pixallated once in a while. Bose customer service is replacing it for a new one. I will have to wait and see how that works. Product Review: The Bose VS-2 Video Extender delivers as promised. The set-up was easy and straightforward. The quality of video from my cable box and dvd dramtically improved. Electronic warehouse also receives top rating for prompt and reliable customer service. It is a simple, cost-effective way of improving standard definition media to either 720p or 10801 and 720p hd cable media to 10801. The upscaling was very good. Was this review helpful to you? Product Review: Pros - Use with the LiveStyle 48 and its remote are awesome. Quick switching between sources is a breeze, the 1080 upconvert is great.
CONS - Instructions are weak. Needed to call tech support and go through a series of iterations to have the LiveStyle unit interface correctly. Service & Delivery Comments: Delivery was fast and accurrate. Packaging was factory direct w/no over pack. Therefore box was quite banged up when received. Was this review helpful to you? Yes/No
