Grand Prix Awards
Audio Video Magazine annually polls top retailers around the United States. Competition winners are determined by the votes of these retailers, with confirming review by a Grand Prix committee of leading audio critics and writers. Criteria for selection include:
- Fidelity of Sound Reproduction
- Design Engineering
- Reliability
- Craftsmanship
- High Value to Pricing Relationship

Since 1980, Yamaha has received over 140 of these prestigious Grand Prix Awards, many times that of any other manufacturer.
Yamaha has also received Product of the Year Awards from VIDEO Magazine as well as the Verity Award for Customer Satisfaction on more than one occasion.
