Advanced Theater

Aimed at multi-Channel soundtrack enhancement is Advanced Theater. This newly designed DSP processing takes advantage of the discrete multi-channel information provided with Dolby Digital and dts encoded soundtracks. Working in conjunction with the surround decoder, the sound field design is enhanced based on the type of movie you’re watching. Advanced Theater’s provided modes are musical, drama, and action. Musical is aimed at expanding the sound field on all axis, vertical as well as horizontal, to enhance the musicality for those movies containing a heavy content of music. For movies with weighting towards dialog, the Drama mode has been developed to insure absolute clarity of the dialog. The Action mode targets the surround channels to improve the vertical presence of the surround channels information. Additionally, Digital 5-D Theater works with the Pro Logic decoder to emulate "stereo imaging" in the surround channels, by creating movement in your rear speakers that follows the action on screen.
