Powered by Texas Instruments DLP

Mitsubishi DLP HDTVs use the Texas Instruments DLP chip. The chips contain 2 million hinge-mounted microscopic mirrors, that reflect color-filtered light to produce 16.7 million colors. The mirrors move very quickly - at least thousands of times per second - which produces a sharp, blur-free image.
