Hi Keith. The Nile Audio MS120 MicroSensor® is one of three elements that make up an infrared extender system: IR Main System Unit, IR Sensors/Keypads, IR Flashers. In order for this to work and sync correctly, you need to purchase items such as the Niles MSU250 Hub and a MF-1 Flasher. Hi, Im looking for a 3 wire IR sensor just like the one you have picture. I have th W.H.E.N system installed in my house and the instructions told my any 3 wire sensor would work. My question is, will this sensor work if I leave the status wire unhooked? Thanks Josh.

Yes it will work unhooked. But to make it work you will also need to purchase Niles MSU140 Hub or a Niles MSU250 Hub and a Niles MF-1 Flasher for everything to work in sync. If you have any further questions please contact us at 1-866-224-6171.
