Inside each speaker are three 2½-inch full-range environmental drivers arranged in an Articulated Array speaker design. This provides Stereo Everywhere speaker performance for consistent sound in a much wider area than conventional speakers provide. You have the freedom to listen to your music wherever you are, not just in a small “sweet spot” where your music sounds best.

For more than ten years, Bose® outdoor speakers have stood up to some of nature’s worst conditions. They’ve been tested against snow, rain, salt and temperature extremes of 158º F (70ºC) to -40º F (-40ºC). We even put them through 1,200 hours of salt-fog testing, which is twice the demanding Marine Industry Standard. And to further underline their toughness, we added a five-year transferable limited warranty.

Start with your Lifestyle® system, then connect a 151® SE environmental speakers/SA-2 amplifier package, and you can now easily take your music outside. Expand your listening to the porch, pool or patio and, with select Lifestyle® systems and the SA-2 amplifier, you can even play different music or movies indoors at the same time. If you already own a Lifestyle® system and 151® SE environmental speakers, simply add an SA-2 amplifier to bring your music outdoors.

While all Bose® speakers are thoroughly tested, the extreme demands placed on outdoor speakers require an even more rigorous evaluation. Engineers re-create extreme environmental conditions, like exposure to sunlight, rain, heat, ice, even corrosive salt and fog. They also simulate years of exposure to these conditions to ensure our outdoor speakers deliver reliable, long-lasting performance.
