The Pioneer® Elite® SC-25 A/V receiver is the entry point for Pioneer’s exclusive Direct Energy HD amplifier with ICEPower® Class-D technology; specifically designed to bring a new level of performance to stereo and multi-channel surround sound. The driving force for its development was the anticipation of new uncompressed soundtracks from Dolby True-HD and DTS-HD Master audio now emerging on the Blu-Ray Disc® format, bringing sonically exact studio duplication into the home.

With performance certifications from both THX® Labs and Pioneer’s sound tuning partners at AIR Studios in London, England, the SC-25 has expert certifications for noise, distortion, frequency response, and amplification output as well as Advanced Auto MCACC sound tuning directly influenced by AIR Studios professional technical engineers.

The SC-25 employs Pioneer’s exclusive 3-D Space Frame Construction with an ultra rigid trans-stabilizer. Together, this construction technique isolates and dampens the power amplifier and pre-amplifier sections to perform more like separate components.

As a leader in HD-Video signal processing, the new Elite receivers incorporate HDMI® 48-Bit Deep Color and x.v. Color capabilities, analog video conversion to HDMI, standard definition video upscaling to1080p, and Pioneer proprietary PureCinema I/P conversion. Full unprocessed 1080p/24fps Blu-ray Disc resolution will find its way to your 1080p HDTV without unnecessary interference by the receiver, and lower resolution formats will benefit from precision video processing. The Elite SC-25 has 5 HDMI inputs, one of which is conveniently located on the front panel, and 3 component video inputs for a total of 8 assignable high-definition video input options.

This latest line of Elite receivers is among the first to be Works with iPhone™ certified, ready to bring your iTunes® library, photos and videos stored on your iPhone and YouTube® content accessed from your iPhone to your home theater. Even navigation is made easy and fun with a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that provides on-screen album art, all from a newly designed LCD illuminated learning remote. The SC-25 expands your entertainment options further with audio and photo streaming from your PC through an existing home network, and antenna inputs now make it ready to bring subscription services from SIRIUS® and XM® Satellite Radio* into your home entertainment system, rounding out the wide variety of new media options.

The Elite SC-25 receiver is also fully custom integration ready with several new features including 3-zone A/V, dual parallel HDMI outputs, 3-zone on-screen Graphical User Interface, networking capabilities to stream content from iTunes®, satellite radio, and zone distribution of all other analog inputs to up to three zones. Discrete front panel and remote on/off, input select, and volume controls for main, 2nd, and 3rd zones makes distributed whole-home entertainment a very real possibility.
