The HDP 2400 High Definition PowerCenter protects sensitive HDTV sets and other home theater components that can be easily damaged from common AC power surges, spikes, sags, and even lighting strikes.
Unlike ordinary surge protectors that rely entirely on metal oxide varistors MOVs for surge protection, ultra-fast T2 microprocessor-controlled circuitry automatically disconnects the PowerCenter and your connected components. When T2 senses a voltage swell coming, it completely disconnects power for 15-seconds. T2 also protects from severe under-voltage sags that can also damage your AV equipment. Monster Tri-Mode® disconnect circuitry also keeps you informed of your system's status with visual indicator lights and an audible alarm.
The HDP 2400's high 6125-Joule power absorption rating also applies to surges that can occur on Telephone, Ethernet, Cable TV, Satellite, and Antenna feeds, for complete and total system protection.
