• This "hole-saving" bracket kit lets you stake out your speaker mounting position before the drywall goes up in your new home. The included "wings" make it possible to install this bracket between most joists or rafters. If necessary, the wings can be shortened by breaking them along scored lines. Your drywall hanger will make the cutout for you, saving you the hassle of doing it later.
• Brackets are not required for installation of speakers.
• Brackets are used to rough-in the locations of your speakers in a new construction
