The Pioneer HTP-3800 comes with a 5.1 surround sound A/V receiver model number SX-316-S.  This receiver has Pioneer-Exclusive Innovations such as Pioneer Hybrid Amplifier Design Sound Retriever that will improve the sound quality of compressed music files.
