I use this product to dock and listen to my Ipod in my home. It looks great and works like a dream.
Delivery and customer service were very good. There was a problem with the first item sent and it was resolved quickly and cheerfully.
Works great but it does NOT charge 4th generation nano.
Great Klipsch sound and quality. My GF loves it BUT be aware that this dock will NOT charge your IPOD nano 3rd generation player.
Perfect delivery
This is my second one and it linked up nicely with the first
The Room Groove has a small footprint, excellent sound for all the rooms in your house other than the main listening room. Using Air Port Express and the audio in jack of the Room Groove, you can wirelessly transmit music from your computer throughout the house. It's much more economical than other whole house wireless systems. Actually, you can probably just use one Air Port Express connected to one Room Groove and then transmit from that Room Groove to all the others. Alternatively, you can use one iPod as your music source connected to one Room Groove via the integrated iPod dock, and then transmit to all the others around the house. No Air port Express units needed. I did a side by side comparison of the RG to the Bose Wave system, listening to the same songs on two iPods, in a quiet environment. The Bose is three times the price of the Room Groove. The Bose was a little more bass heavy, only slightly. The Bose midrange was slightly cleaner, but not three times cleaner! The Bose does have the advantage of being not only a powered speaker, but an AM/FM radio and a CD player as well. But the sound quality of the Room Groove compares very well. All in all a very economical way to distribute high quality audio wirelessly throughout the house. Note this unit will not charge the iPhone, I don't know about the various iterations of the iPod touch, check the manufacturers specs. It does charge my first gen iPod touch.
Prompt delivery in perfect condition.
The RoomGrove was very easy to set up, plugged it in, inserted my iTouch and was listening to music within five minutes from opening the box. Can't get any easier than this. The sound is big and rich for a speaker system this size, and the price was very reasonable for this kind of quality. I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.
These put out good sound. Like most iPod speaker units, the stereo image is limited due to the speakers being fixed close together. It is what it is, and I do not mean to imply that I know of better products in this class.
With ref to the wireless broadcast ability, it's innovative, but keep in mind that you have little control over music selection. You'll hear whatever is queued up on the playlist, and be able to move back and forth between songs, but if you want to queue another album or playlist, you'll have to schlep over to the unit, wherever it is, and use the iPod controls. Ditto for changing albums with the supplied remote, even on the unit in your own room. The only iPod controls on the remote are next/last/pause/volume.
