Product Q & A
Hello. On 10/21/2010 I purchased a sherwood RD-8504 A/V receiver from your company, my order number at the time was #401898. The receiver was working great till last week when out of the blue it stopped sending a signal for the video and audio from my sattelite receiver thru the HDMI cable. After disconnecting the cable's from the RD-8504 the sattelite system worked fine thru the Tv. I have also tried the radio part of the RD-8504 and there is no response.The receiver lights up but when it get's to the video hook up it freeze's. My question is this, what is the warranty on the sherwood RD-8504. Any help would be appreciated. Glenn Wanbaugh (Flgmann@netzero.com).

Going off of the information you have supplied, your receiver should be just fine. Our experts think you have a HDCP issue, or Hand Shake issue, which basically means you need to change your HDMI Cable. If you want to make sure your receiver is working fine you will need to test another source (ex. BluRay Player) through your receiver to determine if your cable is bad.
